VOLUNTOURISM

Tanzania is one of the countries blessed with both natural and cultural attractions. Recently the country has been named the best safari country of Africa due to the abundance of attractions such as the Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti national park, Mount Kilimanjaro, the beautiful island of Zanzibar, Olduvai Gorge, Manyara National park and etc. To us, volunteering is a two-way thing. It’s not just about the hands-on help and skills that volunteers bring; it’s also about what this amazing continent, its people, and its wildlife can give those volunteers in return. For many volunteers, it’s their first time to Africa, and we want it to be the first of many. In recognition of this our charity provides wonder exploration tours to our esteemed volunteers to various attractions such as;
Cultural tours such as
Visiting Maasai villages and do campings. Visiting local attractions such as water falls, coffee plantations, museums, Meserani Snake Park etc.
Visiting nearby lakes. such as lake Duluti, lake Chala. Organizing barbecue competitions with the locals.
Biking adventures. Performing local dances with the locals. Cultural markets trips. Visiting local museums.
Wildlife tours such as
Ngorongoro crater. Manyara national park. Tarangire national park. Arusha national park. Serengeti national park.
Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru climbing trips. Selous national park, Ruaha national park, Gombe national park & Mikumi national park.
In our Voluntourism program we also organize and arrange tours to different tourist destinations in Tanzania and East Africa for individuals and travelers groups for cheap and affordable prices using our large network of partner tour companies. This can be done only to individuals and groups of travelers who wish to donate and spend at least one or more days working with us in our programs. Donations might include;
• Money
• New or Used Football boots, Jersey, socks, beeps, gloves, whistles for our football program.
• New or second hand clothes and shoes for our community donation drops programs which as a traveler/travelers group you will have an opportunity to participate and distribute these stuffs to the community.
• Stationaries such as books, notebooks, pen, pencils, rulers, sharpeners, rubber, chalks, black board eraser, whiteboard marker etc, for our education program
• Anything that might be helpful in our programs will be very much appreciated.
NB: We ask individuals and travelers groups that wishes to work with us in our Voluntourism program (Volunteering plus doing Tourism activities) to donate anything among the listed above that is in their ability. In case of any need for more communication please touch base with Harry Mlaki via his phone numbers below.
Our organization will be responsible for airport pickups and drop off, accommodations, meals, transportation to and from our projects, 24 hours support, arrangement of your tour with our partner tour companies for cheap prices etc. The Good Deeds Foundation will make sure you have enjoyable time from your arrival to departure.

It’s our responsibility to make sure volunteers have a great time and are able to make a positive contribution to our projects; it’s also our responsibility to make sure that our presence on the ground is in the best interests of the local communities we work with.
NB: In almost all cases the focus of our volunteer work is to improve the standards of written and spoken English, school building, community centers, livelihood, healthcare education, support orphans education, medical expenses and accommodations at various projects we work. Volunteers get involved with a variety of activities from teaching at a nursery school all the way through to teaching at a secondary level and doing construction and renovation projects. Through our different programs we are able to use volunteers with a range of skills and experience.
We believe in the power of volunteering and have seen the amazing things volunteers can achieve.
We believe in Africa and all that this inspiring continent can offer to the world.
